Thamires Monteiro

Thamires Monteiro is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt representing Checkmat, known for her relentless pressure-passing style and exceptional results in both gi and no-gi competitions. Throughout her career, Thamires has earned recognition for her dominant and aggressive game, establishing herself as one of the top competitors in the lightweight division.
As a brown belt, Thamires secured a major victory by winning the IBJJF Pan No-Gi Championship, and her consistent performances have led to victories in international tournaments such as Subversive, a premier team-based event. As a black belt, Thamires has risen in the ranks, being ranked 6th in the world in the IBJJF No-Gi rankings for the 2021/2022 season, 3rd in the world for the 2022/2023 season, and is currently ranked 5th for the 2023-2024 season, further solidifying her place among the elite in jiu-jitsu.
