Kids & Youth Jiu-Jitsu
Introducing our Kids (5-9) & Youth (10-13) Jiu-Jitsu Program! This program is carefully crafted to provide new students with the essential foundations of Jiu-Jitsu. Here’s a glimpse into what we cover in our kids’ curriculum:

- Techniques for taking opponents down to the ground
- Strategies to prevent opponents from taking them down
- Acquiring and controlling top positions like side control and full mount
- Submissions from the top position
- Techniques for fighting off their back, including submissions and reversals
- Attacking the opponent’s back and defending against choke submissions
And that’s just the beginning! We prioritize safety and emotional well-being in our training, which is why we also teach the A, B, C’s (Always Be in Control) of our Safe Training Protocol. This helps our students practice Jiu-Jitsu safely and cultivate a healthy mindset when it comes to winning and losing.
Our students absolutely love learning Jiu-Jitsu! We make sure to keep it exciting and enjoyable, while also equipping them with top-notch techniques that they can rely on, be it in a fierce competition or when facing off against the neighborhood bully.
Once students have developed a solid foundation in our fundamentals program, they may be recommended to join our Kids Competition Team.

Now enrolling Kids ages 6 years and up.
My boys have been at Academy since the age of 5 and now have been training for over 2.5 years. The first thing that grabbed our attention was how patient the staff was with a bunch of 5 and 6-year-olds. They took their time to teach each kid the fundamentals of jiu-jitsu. The staff made training fun and to our amazement, our kids would pay attention for the entire hour, a feat that is not easily done. 🙂 The training has paid off in all aspects. The first week of their 2nd grade in school session, we were told by staff how well behaved and disciplined our kids were. I wish I could take all the credit, but this shows they are learning more than just jiu-jitsu. They are a professional staff who truly care about their students. There is no doubt in our mind that we have made the best choice of joining Academy.
We have made great friends during our time here and consider them and staff our second family. I could go on and on. Best 2.5 years and counting!!
